Rifugio Hope was born in 2012 in Agrigento, Sicily. Their objective is creating a safe space surrounded by nature, where to host stray and mistreated dogs, while they wait for their forever home. the volunteers not only look after the dogs, but they also work very hard to offer appropriate therapy, as well as providing education and rehabilitation courses.

rifugio fata shelter, lamezia terme, is an accredited, private dog shelter in calabria, southern italy. rifugio fata gives shelter to approx. 140 dogs and 20 puppies. the number can fluctuate and depends on abandoned dogs/puppies, their possibility for adoption and the cure of injured or sick dogs until they can be put up for adoption.
